Joe Hammer
Joe Hammer is an improv director, communication coach, keynote speaker and author. He has been training people to think on their feet, speak up with confidence and work better together since 1989, and he teaches every Outcasters class himself.
Training people since 1989
For more than three decades, Joe has presented personal and business development seminars and entertainment programs, from small teams to conference stages.
His own improv training includes Magnet Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade and Impro Theatre, and work with fellow improv authors Mick Napier of The Annoyance Theater and Will Hines of UCB. In class, that means more than games: students learn the practical principles of short-form and long-form improvisation, get plenty of stage time, and receive personal, considerate coaching.
Joe founded The Outcasters Improv Training Center in North Scottsdale in 2020. He leads the live drop-in class every Wednesday, 6 to 8 pm, the online class on Zoom every Tuesday, 6 to 7:30 pm Arizona time, and improv-based training for companies.
